R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends have been deeply saddened by the
  loss of Mary Alice Muñoz of Corpus Christi, who passed away on
  January 31, 2015, at the age of 68; and
         WHEREAS, Mary Alice Muñoz was born on January 9, 1947, in
  Corpus Christi; a valued member of the Hi-Fairnessee Girls Club,
  she graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1965 and went on to
  attend Del Mar College; she subsequently joined the staff of Spohn
  Memorial Medical Center, retiring as a laboratory technician after
  46 years of dedicated service to the hospital; and
         WHEREAS, Always centering her life on her family, Ms. Muñoz
  found a true companion in Frank "Paco" Muñoz, with whom she enjoyed
  a rewarding marriage that spanned 27 years; she was the proud mother
  of two children, Nancy and Nick, and she cherished the time she
  spent with her three grandchildren, Alexandria, Joshua, and Ashley;
  her life was further enriched by many close friends and her beloved
  pet, Wilson II; and
         WHEREAS, Though she valued quality time at home with her
  family, Ms. Muñoz also loved to travel; over the years, her
  wanderlust led her to a variety of locations, including Rome,
  Germany, the Netherlands, Alaska, and several state and national
  parks; and
         WHEREAS, A kind and generous woman who would gladly lend a
  sympathetic ear to anyone in need of counsel, Mary Alice Muñoz
  enriched many lives with her compassionate spirit, and she will be
  deeply missed by all those who had the great privilege of sharing in
  her love and affection; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Mary Alice Muñoz and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
  husband, Frank Muñoz; to her children, Nancy Hinojosa-Scott and her
  husband, Steve, and Nick Hinojosa and his wife, Michelle; to her
  grandchildren, Alexandria Fernandez and Joshua and Ashley
  Hinojosa; to her siblings, Maria Lara Garcia, Pete Isaac Martinez
  and his wife, Grace, Frances V. Benavidez and her husband, John,
  Gracie Solano and her husband, Richard, and Belinda Edwards; and to
  her other relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Mary Alice
  Muñoz.
