R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |
|
|
of Guadalupe Garza Medrano, who passed away on February 16, 2015, at |
|
|
the age of 77; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This Robstown native was born on May 3, 1937, to |
|
|
Sixto and Amalia Garza; she was joined in matrimony to Jose Medrano, |
|
|
and together they enjoyed a rewarding marriage until his passing; |
|
|
she provided a loving and happy home for her children, Jose, Sally, |
|
|
Sixto, Danny, and Marlynn, and she later knew the joy of welcoming |
|
|
two additional generations into her cherished family; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Medrano was a devout Catholic, and she served |
|
|
as a longtime congregant and member of the Altar Society at |
|
|
St. Anthony Catholic Church in Robstown; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Guadalupe Medrano lived a caring and purposeful life |
|
|
centered around her faith and her family, and she will forever be |
|
|
remembered with deep affection by all those who held her dear; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Guadalupe Garza |
|
|
Medrano and extend sincere sympathy to her loved ones: to her |
|
|
children, Jose Medrano and his wife, Jennifer, Sally Cisneros and |
|
|
her husband, Danny, Sixto Medrano and his wife, Becky, Danny |
|
|
Medrano and his wife, Sonia, and Marlynn Douglas and her husband, |
|
|
Dwayne; to her 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; to her |
|
|
sisters, Elsa Garcia and her husband, Alfredo, Dora Aguilar and her |
|
|
husband, Frank, Oralia Sauceda, Mary Benavidez and her husband, |
|
|
Garland, Olga Rodriguez, Elida Flores and her husband, Manuel, and |
|
|
Irma Yarmer; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Guadalupe |
|
|
Garza Medrano. |
