R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the |
|
passing of Susana Arrizola Ramon of Robstown on December 1, 2013, at |
|
the age of 83; and |
|
WHEREAS, The former Susana Arrizola was born in Laredo to |
|
Felipe and Amalia Arrizola on May 24, 1930; she was joined in |
|
matrimony to Rodrigo Ramon Sr., and they shared a loving marriage of |
|
56 years; the devoted couple experienced the joy of raising four |
|
children, and with the passing years, their family grew to include |
|
eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan spent most of her life in |
|
Robstown, where she worked as a manager at the Boat 'N Net |
|
restaurant; steadfast in her faith, she was a valued congregant at |
|
St. Anthony's Catholic Church; moreover, Mrs. Ramon was involved |
|
with the Sociedad Cuauhtemoc and was a member of the senior citizen |
|
center; and |
|
WHEREAS, Susana Ramon was a positive force in the lives of her |
|
friends and loved ones, and she will always be remembered with great |
|
admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Susana Arrizola Ramon |
|
and extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her |
|
husband, Rodrigo Ramon Sr.; to her children and their spouses, |
|
Lorraine Ramon, Rodrigo Ramon Jr. and his wife, Brenda, Cathy |
|
Alaniz and her husband, Ruben, and Susan Ramirez and her husband, |
|
Guadalupe; to her brother, Rafael Arrizola; to her grandchildren |
|
and great-grandchildren; and to her many other relatives and |
|
friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Susana |
|
Arrizola Ramon. |
