R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Bridget Markwood was one of eight Texas A&M
  University-Corpus Christi employees who were named 2014 40 Under 40
  honorees by Corpus Christi Under 40 (CCU40); and
         WHEREAS, Each year, CCU40 honors 40 men and women under the
  age of 40 who have worked to make a positive difference in the
  Corpus Christi area through both their professional and community
  endeavors; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Markwood is an adjunct professor at A&M-Corpus
  Christi in the communication and media arts department; she also
  serves as the CEO of Leader N U, a consulting firm that specializes
  in creating communication, leadership, and character development
  programs for youth, young adults, and professionals; moreover, she
  recently published her first book, Rock Ur World: A Life and
  Leadership Handbook for College-Bound Students; active in her
  community as well, this esteemed woman is the drama coordinator at
  Grace Presbyterian Church, where she also helps oversee projects
  that assist homeless youth in the area; and
         WHEREAS, Bridget Markwood has set an outstanding example of
  professional achievement and civic engagement, and she may take
  justifiable pride in her contributions to the Coastal Bend
  community; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Bridget Markwood on her selection
  as a Corpus Christi 40 Under 40 honoree and extend to her sincere
  best wishes for continued success in her important work; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Markwood as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
