R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jill Jacobs was one of eight Texas A&M |
|
|
University-Corpus Christi employees who were named 2014 40 Under 40 |
|
|
honorees by Corpus Christi Under 40 (CCU40); and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Each year, CCU40 honors 40 men and women under the |
|
|
age of 40 who have worked to make a positive difference in the |
|
|
Corpus Christi area through both their professional and community |
|
|
endeavors; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Jacobs currently serves as the executive |
|
|
director of development at A&M-Corpus Christi, where she oversees |
|
|
the school's fund-raising efforts; prior to joining the university, |
|
|
she worked as the executive director of the Corpus Christi Heart |
|
|
Association; this esteemed woman gives back to her community as a |
|
|
member of the Junior League of Corpus Christi and Clowns Who Care of |
|
|
Driscoll Children's Hospital; she has also served as copresident |
|
|
for the Congregation Beth Israel Sisterhood and auction logistics |
|
|
chair for the annual Cattle Baron's Ball; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Jill Jacobs has set an outstanding example of |
|
|
professional achievement and civic engagement, and she may take |
|
|
justifiable pride in her contributions to the Coastal Bend |
|
|
community; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jill Jacobs on her selection as a |
|
|
Corpus Christi 40 Under 40 honoree and extend to her sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success in her important work; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Jacobs as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
