R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Claudia Ayala was one of eight Texas A&M |
|
|
University-Corpus Christi employees who were named 2014 40 Under 40 |
|
|
honorees by Corpus Christi Under 40 (CCU40); and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Each year, CCU40 honors 40 men and women under the |
|
|
age of 40 who have worked to make a positive difference in the |
|
|
Corpus Christi area through both their professional and community |
|
|
endeavors; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Ayala is a licensed professional counselor, and |
|
|
she currently serves as the assistant director of the University |
|
|
Counseling Center at A&M-Corpus Christi; this esteemed woman has |
|
|
been with the school for the past nine years, and during that time |
|
|
she has counseled students, supervised staff, and chaired the |
|
|
school's Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Team; active in her |
|
|
community as well, she is a valued congregant of St. Patrick |
|
|
Catholic Church and president of the St. Patrick Catholic School |
|
|
advisory committee; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Claudia Ayala has set an outstanding example of |
|
|
professional achievement and civic engagement, and she may take |
|
|
justifiable pride in her contributions to the Coastal Bend |
|
|
community; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Claudia Ayala on her selection as a |
|
|
Corpus Christi 40 Under 40 honoree and extend to her sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success in her important work; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Ayala as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
