R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, John Patrick Reinhart of Boy Scouts of America Troop
  No. 399 in Austin has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this
  accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Patrick and Ruth Reinhart, John Patrick
  Reinhart entered scouting in the first grade at St. Austin's
  Catholic School and has been a member of Troop No. 399 since 2011;
  he has demonstrated outstanding leadership ability throughout his
  scouting career, winning the respect and admiration of the fellow
  members of his troop through his service as patrol quartermaster
  and den chief and as a representative of the Order of the Arrow;
  moreover, he has attended National Leadership Youth Training, and
  he has honed his outdoor skills at various summer and winter camps;
  and
         WHEREAS, Thus far in his scouting journey, Mr. Reinhart has
  recorded 64 nights of camping and obtained 78 merit badges; a
  recipient of the National Outdoor Achievement and World
  Conservation Awards, he has also earned recognition for taking part
  in the mile swim, the snorkeling challenge, and the Nova Awards
  Whoosh! and Shoot! modules; he has additionally volunteered over
  300 service hours, and he organized and completed an Eagle Scout
  project of benefit to his community, which involved constructing an
  information bulletin board at Dripping Springs Ranch Park; and
         WHEREAS, This fine young Texan was a model student during his
  time at St. Austin Catholic School, where he consistently made the
  honor roll and was active in band, choir, and numerous athletic
  activities; he has also been a participant in University
  Interscholastic League Modern Oratory competitions, having placed
  first and second at the district level and having finished as the
  runner-up in a state-level contest in 2013; now a student at
  Westlake High School, he is a member of the Men's Ensemble and the
  Torque Omega Robotics Team; he plans to continue his work in
  scouting and to serve as a mentor to other young men in the program;
  and
         WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Reinhart's dedication to excellence and
  his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy
  to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with
  pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate John Patrick Reinhart on achieving
  the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for
  continued success and happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Reinhart as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
