R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, February 18, 2015, marks the 20th wedding
  anniversary of Jennifer and Mike King, and this joyous event
  provides a fitting opportunity to reflect on their memorable
  journey together as husband and wife; and
         WHEREAS, After graduating from Allen High School, where they
  were only passing acquaintances, Mike enlisted in the United States
  Army in 1991 and Jennifer enrolled at the University of North Texas
  in 1992; during the summer of 1994, while both were at home in
  Allen, they found themselves working together at the same
  Winn-Dixie and soon started dating; within months they had fallen
  in love, and they exchanged their wedding vows on February 18, 1995;
  and
         WHEREAS, For a short time, the couple lived in Virginia while
  Mr. King attended army training at Joint Base Langley-Eustis; when
  they returned to Texas, Mrs. King transferred to The University of
  Texas, where she earned a degree in government before going on to
  graduate from Baylor Law School in 2001; Mr. King was honorably
  discharged from the army in 2003, and he then enrolled at The
  University of Texas at Arlington, graduating in 2008; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. King represents clients in the areas of medical
  malpractice and health law and has been employed by Burford &
  Ryburn, LLP, in Dallas, for the past 13 years; Mr. King previously
  served on the staff of the North Central Texas Council of
  Governments for five years and currently works as a plans examiner
  for the City of Allen, where he is helping to ensure quality growth
  for the hometown of his youth; the couple are the proud parents of
  three rescued "fur-children," their dogs Boudreaux, Sadie, and
  Rooster Cogburn; they are also fans of the Texas Rangers baseball
  team, and they enjoy going to the theater and traveling anywhere the
  sun is shining; and
         WHEREAS, The 20 years of marriage that Jennifer and Mike King
  have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and
  commitment, and their union is an inspiration to all who know them;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Jennifer and Mike King on their
  20th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
  continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. King as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
