R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Locally owned and operated restaurants play a vital
  role in the economy of Texas communities, and the Hi-Ho Restaurant
  has been satisfying residents of Corpus Christi with home-style
  Mexican food for more than three decades; and
         WHEREAS, Founded in 1981 by Tommy Dalton, the Hi-Ho has been
  owned by Guadalupe B. and Maria Garcia for the past four and a half
  years; today the restaurant boasts a staff of 26 employees,
  including the Garcias' son, Ricardo; and
         WHEREAS, A treasured local institution, the Hi-Ho continues
  to welcome regular customers and visiting celebrities alike; and
         WHEREAS, The Hi-Ho Restaurant has gained a loyal following
  over the years, and it is a pleasure to commend the Garcia family on
  their contributions to the prosperity and cultural diversity of
  Corpus Christi; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize the Hi-Ho Restaurant in Corpus Christi
  and extend to the Garcia family and their employees sincere best
  wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the restaurant as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
