R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |
|
|
of Sandra Kay Weems of Corpus Christi, who passed away on January |
|
|
13, 2015, at the age of 60; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sandy Weems was born on October 7, 1954, in San |
|
|
Antonio; she shared a rewarding relationship with her husband, |
|
|
David Morpurgo, and was the loving mother of three children, Tonya, |
|
|
Jeremy, and Jeffrey; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A resident of Corpus Christi for much of her life, |
|
|
she and her husband owned and operated Backstreet Burgers, where |
|
|
she was known to many for her kindness and sense of humor; in |
|
|
addition to spending time with her family, she took pleasure in her |
|
|
dogs and enjoyed painting, drawing, cooking, gardening, and |
|
|
cheering on the Dallas Cowboys; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Sandy Weems |
|
|
will remember the way she touched their lives during her time on |
|
|
this earth, and she will forever hold a treasured place in their |
|
|
hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Sandra Kay Weems and |
|
|
extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
|
husband, David Morpurgo; to her children, Tonya, Jeremy, and |
|
|
Jeffrey; to her brothers, Steve and James Barker; to her eight |
|
|
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and to her other |
|
|
relatives and many friends; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Sandy |
|
|
Weems. |
