R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of Sandra Kay Weems of Corpus Christi, who passed away on January
  13, 2015, at the age of 60; and
         WHEREAS, Sandy Weems was born on October 7, 1954, in San
  Antonio; she shared a rewarding relationship with her husband,
  David Morpurgo, and was the loving mother of three children, Tonya,
  Jeremy, and Jeffrey; and
         WHEREAS, A resident of Corpus Christi for much of her life,
  she and her husband owned and operated Backstreet Burgers, where
  she was known to many for her kindness and sense of humor; in
  addition to spending time with her family, she took pleasure in her
  dogs and enjoyed painting, drawing, cooking, gardening, and
  cheering on the Dallas Cowboys; and
         WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Sandy Weems
  will remember the way she touched their lives during her time on
  this earth, and she will forever hold a treasured place in their
  hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Sandra Kay Weems and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
  husband, David Morpurgo; to her children, Tonya, Jeremy, and
  Jeffrey; to her brothers, Steve and James Barker; to her eight
  grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and to her other
  relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Sandy
  Weems.
