R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Ward Roddam was named Firefighter of the Year by the |
|
|
Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department on February 21, 2015, and this |
|
|
prestigious honor reflects the high esteem in which he is held by |
|
|
his peers; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Presented during the annual police officer and |
|
|
firefighter appreciation event at the Rockdale Knights of Columbus |
|
|
Hall, the winner of the Firefighter of the Year accolade is selected |
|
|
from a pool of worthy candidates by members of the RVFD; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Roddam has worked diligently in behalf of his |
|
|
department and his fellow citizens for more than a quarter-century, |
|
|
and he currently leads the RVFD as fire chief; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Chief Roddam has earned the respect and admiration |
|
|
of many for his dedication, professionalism, and commitment to |
|
|
public safety, and he may indeed take pride in his outstanding |
|
|
contributions to the city of Rockdale; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ward Roddam on being named |
|
|
Firefighter of the Year by the Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department |
|
|
and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Chief Roddam as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
