R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Keric Donahue-Per |
|
|
ez of Waco, a fourth-grade student |
|
|
at Alta Vista Elementary School, has demonstrated great |
|
|
consideration of others through his honorable action; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Keric's teacher, Devin Culpepper, keeps a classroom |
|
|
library that contains personal books from her childhood; Keric |
|
|
recently borrowed one such book and was surprised to find $215 |
|
|
inside, a long-lost Christmas present that Ms. Culpepper had |
|
|
received when she was nine years old; though he could have easily |
|
|
kept the money without anyone's knowing, Keric returned it to his |
|
|
teacher the following day; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his admirable behavior, Keric Donahue-Perez |
|
|
has set an outstanding example for persons of all ages, and it is |
|
|
indeed appropriate that he be recognized at this time; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Keric Donahue-Perez on his honesty and |
|
|
integrity and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, |
|
|
be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Keric Donahue-Perez as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
