R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Stuart Parsons Jr. of Waco has set an inspiring |
|
|
example of giving by making a generous donation to the Doris Miller |
|
|
Family YMCA; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The owner of BSR Cable Park, Mr. Parsons presented |
|
|
the YMCA with a check for $25,000 on December 17, 2014, in memory of |
|
|
SirLemuel Calhoun, a 12-year-old boy who drowned at the park in |
|
|
June; the money will fund swimming lessons and swim safety programs |
|
|
in the East Waco community, and BSR additionally plans to build a |
|
|
splash park area for younger children in SirLemuel's name; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his admirable support, Stuart Parsons has |
|
|
made a meaningful difference in the Waco community, and his |
|
|
noteworthy contribution is indeed deserving of recognition; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Stuart Parsons Jr. for his donation to |
|
|
the Doris Miller Family YMCA and extend to him sincere best wishes |
|
|
for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Parsons as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
