R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, No words can diminish the pain caused by a life cut
  short, but all who shared in the love and friendship of Mason Carter
  Davidson may find comfort in their treasured memories of this
  special young man, who passed away on February 2, 2015, at the age
  of 17; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Austin on September 21, 1997, Mason Davidson
  was the son of David Wayne Cumberledge and Misty Michelle Davidson;
  he was a junior at Rouse High School in Leander, where he excelled
  academically, and he aspired to study mathematics at Texas Tech
  University; and
         WHEREAS, This musically gifted young Texan played trumpet as
  a valued member of the Rouse Raider Marching Band; fond of singing
  as well, he liked to burst out in song to embarrass his girlfriend,
  Marlina, and made a point of serenading her every night; he had
  eclectic tastes and was a fan of Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, and
  Sean Kingston, as well as of Guns N' Roses and other rock bands; and
         WHEREAS, An exceptionally warm, kind, and thoughtful person,
  Mr. Davidson endeared himself to innumerable people with his
  gentlemanly demeanor and upbeat personality; he had a wonderful
  sense of humor, and he loved to watch comedy movies with family and
  friends; and
         WHEREAS, Although his days were far too few, Mason Davidson
  made a positive difference in the lives he touched, and he will
  forever hold a special place in the hearts of those he has left
  behind; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Mason Carter
  Davidson and extend sincere condolences to the members of his
  family: to his parents, Misty Davidson and David Cumberledge; to
  his sister, Chloe Cumberledge; to his grandmothers, Mary Elaine
  Manning and Donna Cumberledge; to his grandfather, James
  Cumberledge, and his companion, Dora Richards; to his girlfriend,
  Marlina Losier; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Mason
  Carter Davidson.
