R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Dorcas T. Bullock of the Alabama-Coushatta Indian |
|
|
Reservation celebrated her 95th birthday on February 20, 2015, to |
|
|
the delight of her family and friends; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Born in 1920, Ms. Bullock is a lifelong resident of |
|
|
the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation and the tribe's oldest |
|
|
living member; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This esteemed woman is the beloved matriarch of a |
|
|
fine family that has grown to include her three children, Lawrine |
|
|
Battise, Mavis Marroquin and her husband, Joe, and Wayne Bullock |
|
|
and his wife, Genny, as well as her 14 grandchildren, 35 |
|
|
great-grandchildren, and 42 great-great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Dorcas Bullock is an inspiration to all who have the |
|
|
good fortune to know her, and her 95th birthday offers a welcome |
|
|
opportunity to remind her of the special place she holds in the |
|
|
hearts of her loved ones; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Dorcas T. Bullock on her 95th |
|
|
birthday and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Bullock as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
