R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, The resilience and strength of character
  demonstrated by centenarians are a source of enduring inspiration,
  and on November 15, 2014, Mandy Lee Anderson of Livingston joined
  the elite group of Texans who can reflect on 100 years of life well
  lived; and
         WHEREAS, From the Great Depression and World War II to the
  dawn of the space age and the invention of the Internet,
  Mrs. Anderson has lived through an array of historic events and
  witnessed remarkable changes and marvels since her birth in 1914;
  and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Anderson is a source of wisdom and joy to her loved
  ones, and over the years her family has grown to include her daughter
  and son-in-law, Nancy Marie and Maxie Allen, as well as 7 grandchildren,
  22 great-grandchildren, 44 great-great-grandchildren, and 11
  great-great-great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Mandy Lee Anderson has earned the admiration and
  affection of countless people over the last century, and she
  continues to enrich the lives of all who are fortunate enough to
  know her; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Mandy Lee Anderson on her 100th
  birthday and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
  happiness and good fortune; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mrs. Anderson as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
