R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The resilience and strength of character |
|
demonstrated by centenarians are a source of enduring inspiration, |
|
and on November 15, 2014, Mandy Lee Anderson of Livingston joined |
|
the elite group of Texans who can reflect on 100 years of life well |
|
lived; and |
|
WHEREAS, From the Great Depression and World War II to the |
|
dawn of the space age and the invention of the Internet, |
|
Mrs. Anderson has lived through an array of historic events and |
|
witnessed remarkable changes and marvels since her birth in 1914; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Anderson is a source of wisdom and joy to her loved |
|
ones, and over the years her family has grown to include her daughter |
|
and son-in-law, Nancy Marie and Maxie Allen, as well as 7 grandchildren, |
|
22 great-grandchildren, 44 great-great-grandchildren, and 11 |
|
great-great-great-grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mandy Lee Anderson has earned the admiration and |
|
affection of countless people over the last century, and she |
|
continues to enrich the lives of all who are fortunate enough to |
|
know her; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Mandy Lee Anderson on her 100th |
|
birthday and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
happiness and good fortune; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mrs. Anderson as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
