R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Texas colleges and universities contribute
  immeasurably to the future of the Lone Star State, and those
  professionals who give generously of their expertise to these vital
  institutions of higher education are indeed deserving of
  recognition; and
         WHEREAS, Since 1995, Dr. Linda Brown has been a member of the
  faculty at El Paso Community College, where she currently teaches
  courses in interpersonal communication, professional and
  organizational communication, and public speaking; a certified
  trainer and mediator, she provides training to students and her
  colleagues as a member of the EPCC Leadership Development Academy
  and Leadership EPCC; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed educator earned her bachelor's and
  master's degrees from The University of Texas at El Paso, and she
  completed her doctorate in educational administration at New Mexico
  State University; Dr. Brown has worked as a consultant and trainer
  for a variety of educational, corporate, and government entities
  over the past 15 years, and she has served as a volunteer at local
  K-12 schools for more than a decade; and
         WHEREAS, Dr. Linda Brown has greatly benefited the students
  of El Paso Community College, and in so doing, she has garnered the
  lasting respect and admiration of countless people along the way;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Dr. Linda Brown for her service as a
  professor at El Paso Community College and extended to her sincere
  best wishes for continued success with her important work; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Dr. Brown as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
