R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The House of Representatives of the State of Texas
  is pleased to recognize Joanna F. Weidman, who has been selected for
  induction on March 21, 2015, into the San Antonio Women's Hall of
  Fame for her outstanding work in leadership in communications; and
         WHEREAS, Since 1984, the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame
  annually honors those women who have contributed significantly to
  the San Antonio community and the Bexar County region through their
  accomplishments in their profession or field of service; and
         WHEREAS, A graduate of the University of Texas, Joanna F.
  Weidman began her communications career in San Antonio, working on
  behalf of San Antonio businesses such as CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health
  Care and Valero Energy Company; and
         WHEREAS, Her skill and acumen as a corporate communicator has
  earned her the title of Vice President, Administration, NuStar
  Energy, one of the largest independent liquids terminal and
  pipeline operators in the nation; and
         WHEREAS, Among her generous contributions to the community
  includes her work with young women to develop leadership skills and
  which included her winning a "poetry slam," in which her team
  recited the following lines: "With big dreams and lots of energy,
  I'm surrounded by you, inspirational leaders, strong women....I'm
  surrounded by you, pushing me to be my best"; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the State of
  Texas, 84th Legislature, hereby commend Joanna F. Weidman for her
  exceptional achievements and extend congratulations to her on her
  induction into the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her as an expression of high regard and esteem by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
