R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The House of Representatives of the State of Texas |
|
|
is pleased to recognize Margaret Guzman Mireles, who has been |
|
|
selected for induction on March 21, 2015, into the San Antonio |
|
|
Women's Hall of Fame for her outstanding work in leadership in |
|
|
education; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since 1984, the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame |
|
|
annually honors those women who have contributed significantly to |
|
|
the San Antonio community and the Bexar County region through their |
|
|
accomplishments in their profession or field of service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A longtime supporter of the education of Bexar |
|
|
County youth, she is a retired schoolteacher who mentored and |
|
|
developed not only her students but other teachers and support |
|
|
staff as well; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Her insights in public education were further |
|
|
applied when she served her community again on the Board of Trustees |
|
|
of the San Antonio Independent School District; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the State of |
|
|
Texas, 84th Legislature, hereby commend Margaret Guzman Mireles for |
|
|
her exceptional achievements and extend congratulations to her on |
|
|
her induction into the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her as an expression of high regard and esteem by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
