R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The House of Representatives of the State of Texas |
|
|
is pleased to recognize Susan Lewellyn Pamerleau, who has been |
|
|
selected for induction on March 21, 2015, into the San Antonio |
|
|
Women's Hall of Fame for her outstanding work and leadership in |
|
|
public service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since 1984, the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame |
|
|
annually honors those women who have contributed significantly to |
|
|
the San Antonio community and the Bexar County region through their |
|
|
accomplishments in their profession or field of service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, When Susan Lewellyn Pamerleau was elected as the |
|
|
first female sheriff of Bexar County is was yet another significant |
|
|
barrier shattered by her; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, She also has been the first woman to command the Air |
|
|
Force ROTC and has commanded the 3700th Personnel Resources Group |
|
|
Air Force Military Training Center in Lackland Air Force Base from |
|
|
1988 to 1989; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the State of |
|
|
Texas, 84th Legislature, hereby commend Susan Lewellyn Pamerleau |
|
|
for her exceptional achievements and extend congratulations to her |
|
|
on her induction into the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her as an expression of high regard and esteem by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
