R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The House of Representatives of the State of Texas
  is pleased to recognize Margaret M. Vera, who has been selected for
  induction on March 21, 2015, into the San Antonio Women's Hall of
  Fame for her outstanding work and leadership in volunteerism; and
         WHEREAS, Since 1984, the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame
  annually honors those women who have contributed significantly to
  the San Antonio community and the Bexar County region through their
  accomplishments in their profession or field of service; and
         WHEREAS, Margaret M. Vera has made San Antonio and Bexar
  County a better place by her continued civic engagement and her
  unceasing community volunteerism; and
         WHEREAS, This lawyer has leant her valuable expertise and
  hard work over thousands of hours and volunteered to make our
  community a better place addressing a wide range of needs. She has
  addressed issues related to education and literacy through her
  service on the board of the San Antonio Public Library Foundation
  and lent a caring hand as a trustee for the Center for Health Care
  Services which operate a wide range of medical and mental health
  programs in San Antonio and which also provides care and respite for
  the homeless population and those dealing with substance abuse;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the State of
  Texas, 84th Legislature, hereby commend Margaret M. Vera for her
  exceptional achievements and extend congratulations to her on her
  induction into the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her as an expression of high regard and esteem by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
