R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Martha Y. Reyes has greatly benefited the youth of |
|
|
her community through her service as a member of the Ysleta |
|
|
Independent School District Board of Trustees; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A native of El Paso, Ms. Reyes is serving her fourth |
|
|
term as the District 6 trustee; she currently holds the position of |
|
|
board secretary and has previously served as president and vice |
|
|
president; she is a proud graduate of Ysleta High School and has |
|
|
been recognized by the institution as an Honored Ex; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Reyes has served on the Texas Association of |
|
|
School Boards since 2008; during her tenure, she has co-chaired the |
|
|
Budget and Finance Committee and been selected as a delegate to the |
|
|
Federal Relations Network in Washington, D.C.; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Martha Reyes has demonstrated a steadfast |
|
|
commitment to building a bright and promising future for local |
|
|
children, and in so doing, she has earned the deep respect and |
|
|
appreciation of her fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Martha Y. Reyes for her service as an |
|
|
Ysleta ISD board trustee and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
|
the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Reyes as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
