R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Shelby Sliger of Onalaska placed among the winners |
|
|
in the calf scramble event at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo |
|
|
on February 17, 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Competing against fellow FFA and 4-H students, |
|
|
Ms. Sliger successfully caught and haltered a calf to secure her |
|
|
spot in the winner's circle; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This skilled young Texan is a valued member of the |
|
|
Onalaska FFA, and her impressive showing in the calf scramble |
|
|
competition earned her a certificate toward purchasing a breeding |
|
|
animal intended for exhibition at the 2016 San Antonio Junior |
|
|
Livestock Show; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Shelby Sliger demonstrated exceptional skill and |
|
|
physical prowess in wrestling her calf, and she may indeed reflect |
|
|
with pride on her outstanding achievement; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Shelby Sliger on her performance in |
|
|
the calf scramble at the 2015 San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Sliger as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
