R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Ana Dueñez has greatly benefited the youth of her |
|
|
community through her service as a member of the Ysleta Independent |
|
|
School District Board of Trustees; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A former Ysleta ISD and El Paso Community College |
|
|
student, Ms. Dueñez was elected in May 2013 as the District 1 |
|
|
trustee; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Dueñez has served for 15 years on the El Paso |
|
|
Police Department's Citizen Advisory Board for Mission Valley and |
|
|
for a decade with the El Paso Lower Valley Neighborhood |
|
|
Association, which she currently leads as president; she also |
|
|
contributes her time and talents to the advisory board of Western |
|
|
Refinery, the City of El Paso Community Development Steering |
|
|
Committee, and the Neighborhood Coalition for El Paso; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ana Dueñez has demonstrated a steadfast commitment |
|
|
to building a bright and promising future for local children, and in |
|
|
so doing, she has earned the deep respect and appreciation of her |
|
|
fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Ana Dueñez for her service as an Ysleta ISD |
|
|
board trustee and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Dueñez as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
