R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Connie Woodruff has greatly benefited the youth of |
|
|
her community through her service as a member of the Ysleta |
|
|
Independent School District Board of Trustees; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Educated in Ysleta ISD schools and a graduate of |
|
|
West Texas State University, Ms. Woodruff was elected in May 2013 |
|
|
as the District 2 trustee; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Woodruff has been an educator for 19 years at |
|
|
Immanuel Christian School, where she also served as a department |
|
|
chair; in addition, she has taught Sunday school and vacation Bible |
|
|
school at Tigua Baptist Church and First Baptist Church, and she has |
|
|
been a member of the DARE Committee at North Loop Elementary School; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Connie Woodruff has demonstrated a steadfast |
|
|
commitment to building a bright and promising future for local |
|
|
children, and in so doing, she has earned the deep respect and |
|
|
appreciation of her fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Connie Woodruff for her service on the |
|
|
Ysleta ISD Board of Trustees and extend to her sincere best wishes |
|
|
for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Woodruff as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
