R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Deby Lewis has greatly benefited the youth of her
  community through her service as a member of the Ysleta Independent
  School District Board of Trustees; and
         WHEREAS, A graduate of Eastwood High School and The
  University of Texas at El Paso, Ms. Lewis was elected in 2011 as the
  District 4 trustee; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Lewis is retired from a notable 36-year career
  as a teacher and coach with Ysleta ISD; at Eastwood High, she
  coached tennis and served as director of student activities for 17
  years, and she was the student council advisor for more than a
  quarter-century; during her tenure, she designed the student
  leadership program curriculum that is now employed throughout the
  area, and she shared her expertise with the Texas Association of
  Student Councils Board of Directors; and
         WHEREAS, Deby Lewis has demonstrated a steadfast commitment
  to building a bright and promising future for local children, and in
  so doing, she has earned the deep respect and appreciation of her
  fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Deby Lewis for her service as an Ysleta ISD
  board trustee and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Lewis as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
