R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Jake Green of The Colony High School proved himself
  one of the top wrestlers in Texas by winning the 5A state title in
  the 170-pound weight division at the University Interscholastic
  League state tournament, held in Garland on February 20 and 21,
  2015; and
         WHEREAS, In an impressive demonstration of athletic ability,
  Mr. Green triumphed over each of his four opponents at the meet and
  claimed the crown with a decisive 4-0 victory against Christian
  McBroom of Randall High School; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Green's gold-medal performance was all the more
  special because it garnered his school its first wrestling state
  title since 1993, and The Colony High is honoring his achievement by
  retiring his uniform; and
         WHEREAS, By earning the mantle of state champion, Jake Green
  has become a source of great pride to his school and community, and
  he may take justifiable pride in this notable accomplishment; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Jake Green on winning the UIL 5A
  state wrestling championship in the 170-pound weight division and
  extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Green as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
