R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Those Texans who dedicate their time and talents to |
|
benefit the larger community make the world a better place through |
|
their actions and their example, and Antonio Ayub of El Paso is one |
|
such person; and |
|
WHEREAS, An alumnus of The University of Texas at El Paso and |
|
a licensed paramedic, Mr. Ayub enjoyed a fulfilling career as |
|
deputy chief of emergency medical services for the City of El Paso, |
|
and following his retirement from that position in 1999, he joined |
|
the faculty of El Paso Community College; there, he works as a |
|
professor and as program coordinator of the EMS curriculum, and he |
|
has additionally served as a member of the school's core curriculum |
|
and institutional effectiveness committees; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Ayub has further distinguished himself in his |
|
community as president of the Montwood High School Band Boosters |
|
and as a graduate of Leadership El Paso, a Greater El Paso Chamber |
|
of Commerce initiative committed to addressing issues facing the |
|
city; and |
|
WHEREAS, Antonio Ayub has devoted his career to ensuring that |
|
emergency medical care is available to his fellow citizens, and his |
|
efforts have earned him the profound gratitude of his neighbors and |
|
the lasting respect of his colleagues; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Antonio Ayub for his contributions to |
|
the El Paso community and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Ayub as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
