R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Brett
  Alan Autry of Coleman, who died on March 9, 2015, at the age of 61;
  and
         WHEREAS, The son of Roy Autry Jr. and Martha Jean Harwell,
  Brett Autry was born on January 18, 1954; he grew up with two
  sisters, Alana and Tracy, and graduated from Coleman High School;
  and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Autry married the former Molly Sue Love in 1974;
  they became the parents of three treasured children, Joshua, Leah,
  and Evan; in recent years, he knew the joy of becoming a proud
  grandfather; and
         WHEREAS, For more than a half-century, Mr. Autry worked at
  his family's newspapers, the Coleman Chronicle and Democrat-Voice;
  he began his career in commercial printing and production and then
  followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather to serve as
  copublisher and, beginning in 2011, publisher; and
         WHEREAS, Gregarious and witty, Mr. Autry endeared himself to
  everyone and had a large circle of friends; he was an avid golfer
  and a loyal fan of the Texas Longhorns and Coleman Bluecats, and he
  never passed up an opportunity to sing karaoke; in addition, he
  enjoyed vacationing in Mexico; and
         WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Brett Autry
  will remember the way he touched their lives with his warmth and
  great kindness, and he will forever hold a treasured place in their
  hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Brett Alan Autry and
  extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his
  daughter, Leah Biddle, and her husband, George; to his son, Evan
  Autry; to his granddaughter, Alaine Biddle; to his sisters, Alana
  Brudney and her husband, Stan, and Tracy Autry; to his nephews,
  Brice Brudney and Beau Brudney and his wife, Jennifer; and to his
  many other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas House
  of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Brett
  Alan Autry.
