R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Paul Pearson has greatly benefited the youth of his |
|
|
community through his service as a member of the Ysleta Independent |
|
|
School District Board of Trustees; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Elected in June 2013 to represent the Hanks area as |
|
|
the District 5 trustee, Mr. Pearson was instrumental in the launch |
|
|
of Ysleta ISD's Valle Verde Early College High School, and he |
|
|
currently volunteers as a track coach for the district; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Pearson is a graduate of The University of Texas |
|
|
at El Paso and a retired educator with 26 years of experience in |
|
|
public education; he began his career as an English teacher and |
|
|
track and cross-country coach at Hanks High School before going on |
|
|
to serve as principal at Clint, Horizon, and Del Valle High Schools; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Paul Pearson has demonstrated a steadfast |
|
|
commitment to building a bright and promising future for local |
|
|
children, and in so doing, he has earned the deep respect and |
|
|
appreciation of his fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Paul Pearson for his service on the Ysleta |
|
|
ISD Board of Trustees and extend to him sincere best wishes for the |
|
|
future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, Than an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Pearson as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
