R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Senior Officer Bob Dorsch of the Corpus Christi
  Police Department has deservedly been presented with a Life Saving
  Award for his heroic actions in the line of duty; and
         WHEREAS, On November 4, 2014, Officer Dorsch responded to a
  9-1-1 call about a man who was found unconscious in his truck; the
  man's companion had begun performing CPR to restore his breathing
  and heartbeat, and after arriving on the scene, Officer Dorsch took
  over administering chest compressions as the other individual
  provided rescue breathing to the victim; another officer,
  Lieutenant Adrian Diaz, also came to assist them in keeping the man
  alive; and
         WHEREAS, Although the victim remained unresponsive, the
  three men continued their efforts until paramedics could reach them
  and transport the man to a hospital; miraculously, the victim
  survived, which emergency personnel credited to their early and
  sustained attempts to resuscitate him; and
         WHEREAS, In a crisis situation, Officer Bob Dorsch remained
  calm and implemented the skills he had learned in his training, and
  in so doing, he helped to save the life of a fellow Texan in need;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize Senior Officer Bob Dorsch on his
  receipt of the Life Saving Award from the Corpus Christi Police
  Department and extend to him sincere appreciation for his admirable
  public service; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Officer Dorsch as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
