R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Captain Dana Lechner has been named the 2015 |
|
|
Firefighter of the Year by the Corpus Christi Fire Department; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Captain Lechner joined the Corpus Christi Fire |
|
|
Department in 1990, and throughout his 25-year tenure, he has |
|
|
demonstrated exemplary leadership skills and an exceptional |
|
|
commitment to his fellow firefighters and to his work in the |
|
|
community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Currently assigned to Engine 3 at the Morgan Avenue |
|
|
Rescue Station, Captain Lechner has furthered the department's |
|
|
vital mission of protecting lives and property in an urban center |
|
|
that covers some 170 square miles; as Firefighter of the Year, he |
|
|
serves as a role model to others, and he will represent the |
|
|
department at city events throughout 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Every hour of every day, the first responders of |
|
|
Texas stand ready to come to the aid of citizens in need; Captain |
|
|
Dana Lechner's courage, dedication, and initiative have greatly |
|
|
benefited the people of Corpus Christi and earned him the profound |
|
|
respect and admiration of his peers; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Captain Dana Lechner on being named |
|
|
the 2015 Firefighter of the Year by the Corpus Christi Fire |
|
|
Department and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Captain Lechner as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
