R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, The family and many friends of Sandra Lee Anderson
  have suffered a deep loss with the passing of this beloved woman on
  March 7, 2015, at the age of 67; and
         WHEREAS, A native of Richwood, West Virginia, Mrs. Anderson
  was born to Charles and Glendine Sears on August 22, 1947; she
  graduated from Brentwood High School in Brentwood, New York, in
  1966; and
         WHEREAS, After moving to Texas, the former Sandy Sears
  married Charles "Doc" Anderson on August 21, 1981; sharing with him
  a love of animals, she played a key role in the management and
  operation of his clinic, Anderson Veterinary Hospital, and in
  running Top Notch Ranch as well; she was also involved in many
  aspects of her husband's campaigns for the Texas House of
  Representatives; and
         WHEREAS, Intensely engaged in civic life, Mrs. Anderson held
  nearly every office in the McLennan County Republican Women, at one
  time or another, and she was also a member of the McLennan County
  Republican Club; she gave generously of her time and talents to the
  Heart O' Texas Fair and Rodeo and was staunchly supportive of other
  community organizations; and
         WHEREAS, Sustained by her strong religious faith,
  Mrs. Anderson demonstrated tremendous courage and grace over the
  course of a 28-year struggle with multiple myeloma; after suffering
  a fracture of her right arm, owing to her illness, she dismissed her
  doctor's opinion that her bowling days were over and instead
  developed a left-handed delivery; an avid and accomplished bowler,
  she competed with her team, the Byrd House, for more than a
  quarter-century at the local, state, and national levels; in
  addition, she was an ardent football fan and cheered
  enthusiastically for both the Texas A&M Aggies and the Dallas
  Cowboys; and
         WHEREAS, Sandy Anderson was a source of joy and inspiration
  to many, and she has left an indelible imprint on the hearts of
  those who were blessed to know her; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Sandra Lee Anderson
  and extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her
  husband, State Representative Charles "Doc" Anderson; to her son,
  Thomas Schmidt; to her grandsons, Jonathan Reyes, Bradlee Estes,
  and Jaeson Estes; to her mother, Glendine M. Sears; to her sister,
  Charlotte Cornell, and her husband, Robert; to her brother, Charles
  W. Sears Jr., and his wife, Kelly; to her nieces, Rachael M. Benson
  and Auburn, Anna, and Caitlyn Sears; to her nephew, Charles W. Sears
  III; and to her many other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the members of her family and that when the Texas House
  of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Sandra
  Lee Anderson.
