R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the theatrical design team from Woodville |
|
|
High School have achieved an outstanding level of success in recent |
|
|
district and regional University Interscholastic League (UIL) |
|
|
competitions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The most comprehensive literary and academic |
|
|
contest in the nation, UIL motivates the more than half a million |
|
|
participants to acquire further knowledge and skills by providing |
|
|
them with opportunities to demonstrate their mastery of specific |
|
|
disciplines; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In 2015, students from Woodville High performed |
|
|
admirably in the UIL theatrical design competition and advanced to |
|
|
the state competition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In addition to the school's team success, individual |
|
|
winners included Justin Livingston and Kelsey Hensarling, who |
|
|
qualified for state in the set category; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The exceptional young theater students of Woodville |
|
|
High may take special pride in their success in the UIL competition, |
|
|
and their accomplishments are indeed worthy of special recognition; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate theatrical design students from |
|
|
Woodville High School on advancing to the UIL state meet and extend |
|
|
to them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the school as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
