R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Gerald and Gayle Shinn of Wills Point celebrated |
|
|
their 50th wedding anniversary on January 29, 2015, and they may |
|
|
indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have |
|
|
shared; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, On that memorable day in 1965, Gerald Shinn and the |
|
|
former Gayle Harrelson exchanged the vows of matrimony in Pickton, |
|
|
and over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other |
|
|
a loving life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Shinn count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes their children, Jerry Shinn and his wife, |
|
|
Melissa, and Greg Shinn and his wife, Dawn, as well as their |
|
|
grandchildren, Ben, Bailey, Brooklyn, Andrew, and Matt, with whom |
|
|
they treasure spending many special occasions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For half a century, Gerald and Gayle Shinn have |
|
|
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Gerald and Gayle Shinn on their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
