R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five |
|
|
decades, Gary and Rajean Vawter of Canton are celebrating their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary on June 6, 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Vawter met in the bride's hometown of |
|
|
York, Nebraska, where they were attending college; they exchanged |
|
|
the vows of matrimony on that memorable day in 1965, and over the |
|
|
course of their marriage, they have found in each other a devoted |
|
|
life partner; the couple moved to Nacogdoches to complete their |
|
|
undergraduate degrees and have lived in Mr. Vawter's home state for |
|
|
the past 48 years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Vawter count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes their three sons and daughters-in-law, |
|
|
Brock and Cheryl, Brent and Paula, and Brad and Brenda, as well as |
|
|
their four grandchildren, Austin, Miranda, Avery, and Brenden, with |
|
|
whom they treasure spending many special occasions; they are also |
|
|
the parents of a beloved daughter, the late Johnna; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past 50 years, Gary and Rajean |
|
|
Vawter can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and know that |
|
|
the strength of their love and commitment ensures that many more |
|
|
joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Gary and Rajean Vawter on their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Vawter as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
