R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Members of the Lone Star Association of Charitable
  Clinics are gathering in Round Rock on April 23-24, 2015, to
  celebrate the organization's 10th anniversary at its annual state
  conference, and a visit to the State Capitol is a highlight of the
  event; and
         WHEREAS, Since its founding in 2005, the association has been
  dedicated to increasing access to quality health care for the
  underserved; it furnishes affiliates with networking and
  educational opportunities, collects and disseminates information
  relevant to its mission, and offers low-cost medical supplies and
  products through corporate and national partnerships; and
         WHEREAS, This worthwhile organization assists over 70
  charitable Texas clinics, which together have almost 400,000
  patient visits each year; chiefly staffed by a large volunteer base
  of physicians, nurses, dentists, and other medical professionals,
  these vital centers provide a practical alternative to costly
  hospital and emergency room care; and
         WHEREAS, For 10 years, the Lone Star Association of
  Charitable Clinics has worked to make efficient and effective
  medical treatment available to those who may otherwise go without,
  and its efforts have had a profound and positive influence on the
  citizens of Texas; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize April 23, 2015, as Texas Charitable
  Clinic Day at the State Capitol and extend to all involved with the
  clinics sincere best wishes for continued success with their
  important work; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the Lone Star Association of Charitable Clinics as an
  expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
