R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Ed Bandas has deservedly been named the retail |
|
development coordinator of the City of Belton, and he brings to this |
|
position a wealth of valuable knowledge and insight; and |
|
WHEREAS, A native of Temple, Mr. Bandas graduated with a |
|
bachelor of business administration degree in marketing from |
|
Stephen F. Austin State University in 1990; he subsequently served |
|
this nation for four years in the United States Marine Corps, from |
|
which he retired as a field artillery captain in 1996; and |
|
WHEREAS, After returning to civilian life, Mr. Bandas gained |
|
a wide range of work experience in a number of industries, including |
|
health care, finance, real estate, and retail; in each new role he |
|
took on, he earned the respect and admiration of his peers for his |
|
leadership and for his keen business acumen, and he has garnered a |
|
host of accolades for his exceptional efforts; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Bandas has resided in Belton for five years, and |
|
in 2012, he cofounded the nonprofit Army Marathon, which he |
|
continues to serve today as president and race director; to ensure |
|
the event's success, he has led planning teams and developed |
|
marketing and sponsorship strategies and operational plans for the |
|
annual race, as well as coordinated hundreds of law enforcement and |
|
emergency medical personnel and hospital staff members and |
|
assembled thousands of volunteers and participants; and |
|
WHEREAS, This dynamic Texan has further distinguished |
|
himself as a valued congregant of Christ Church in Temple and as a |
|
member of the boards of the Christ Church School and the Central |
|
Texas Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America; and |
|
WHEREAS, The dedication, professionalism, and commitment to |
|
excellence of Ed Bandas have served him well in many fields of |
|
endeavor, and as he takes on the challenges and opportunities of his |
|
new position, he may indeed reflect with pride on his notable record |
|
of accomplishment; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ed Bandas on his selection as |
|
retail development coordinator of the City of Belton and extend to |
|
him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Bandas as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
