R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, In a demonstration of skill and determination, the
  Evadale High School girls' basketball team enjoyed an outstanding
  2014-2015 season, capturing the District 24-2A championship and
  advancing all the way to the regional semifinals of the University
  Interscholastic League playoffs; and
         WHEREAS, The Lady Rebels excelled during the regular season,
  going undefeated in their 12 games against league opponents to
  claim the school's 13th district title in the past 14 years; and
         WHEREAS, Evadale began the 2A playoffs with a resounding
  66-37 triumph against Carlisle High School in the area round and
  went on to record a hard-fought 41-40 win over Tenaha; that victory
  earned the Lady Rebels a spot in the regional semifinals, where
  their season came to an end after they were narrowly defeated by
  Hubbard High School; and
         WHEREAS, Throughout the year, head coach Robert Hollyfield
  provided able guidance to his team, and the players' solid
  fundamentals and the unwavering commitment to excellence brought
  them notable success on the hardwood; and
         WHEREAS, By winning the district crown and proving themselves
  strong playoff contenders, the members of the Evadale High School
  Lady Rebels basketball team have become a source of pride for their
  school and community, and they may take justifiable pride in a job
  well done; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the Evadale High School girls' 
  basketball team on its accomplishments during the 2014-2015 season
  and extend to the team's players, coaches, and staff sincere best
  wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
