R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Shirley Kelm retired from her role as the organist |
|
|
of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Cameron in 2015, after 46 years |
|
|
of faithful service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Kelm and her husband, Bill, were charter |
|
|
members of the church when it was organized in November 1968; since |
|
|
that time, she has demonstrated her gift for worship music during |
|
|
Sunday services with seven pastors; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Organ music contributes immeasurably to the |
|
|
spiritual enrichment provided by a church service, and generations |
|
|
of congregants at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church have greatly |
|
|
benefited from the talent and enthusiasm that Shirley Kelm has |
|
|
brought to her playing; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Shirley Kelm on her retirement as |
|
|
the organist of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church and extend to her |
|
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mrs. Kelm as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
