R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Savannah Galloway of Buna High School earned
  honorable mention at the 29th annual Protégé High School Art
  Competition and Exhibition, which was held in Beaumont on February
  27, 2015; and
         WHEREAS, Established in 1986, this competition is aimed at
  encouraging high school seniors from around the Golden Triangle to
  create original artwork; out of some 140 submissions this year, 26
  pieces were selected for inclusion in a traveling art show, which
  will be displayed at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas as well as at
  regional school libraries; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Galloway placed fourth for her entry, a drawing
  entitled Self-Portrait, and received a gift certificate for art
  supplies; she is a student of Buna High art instructor Keith Hoke;
  and
         WHEREAS, Savannah Galloway has distinguished herself among
  the many talented young artists who entered this competition, and
  she is indeed a source of great pride to her family and her school;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Savannah Galloway on earning
  honorable mention at the 2015 Protégé High School Art Competition
  and Exhibition and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
  success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Galloway as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
