R E S O L U T I O N

|
WHEREAS, Locally owned and operated restaurants hold a |
|
|
special place in communities across the Lone Star State, and one |
|
|
such establishment, Mr. G's BBQ, has offered a distinctive and |
|
|
enjoyable dining experience to residents of Corpus Christi; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Founded in July 2011 by Jorge Gonzalez III, Mr. G's |
|
|
has quickly become a local favorite, with its traditional |
|
|
Texas-style fare and inviting family atmosphere; today, service at |
|
|
the restaurant is provided by a staff of 15 employees, including |
|
|
several members of the Gonzalez clan; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. G's BBQ has gained a loyal following over the |
|
|
years, and it is a pleasure to commend the Gonzalez family on their |
|
|
contributions to the prosperity and culinary diversity of their |
|
|
city; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby recognize Mr. G's BBQ in Corpus Christi and |
|
|
extend to the Gonzalez family and their employees sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the restaurant as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
