R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Joli Timm of Livingston has received a President's
  Volunteer Service Award in recognition of her efforts to help
  neglected animals in her community; and
         WHEREAS, The President's Volunteer Service Award honors
  Americans of all ages who have contributed a significant number of
  service hours over the course of a year; winners collect a
  personalized certificate, an official pin, medallion, or coin, and
  a congratulatory letter from the president of the United States;
  Ms. Timm was granted this prestigious award by the Prudential
  Spirit of Community Awards program; and
         WHEREAS, A senior at Livingston High School, Ms. Timm has
  volunteered with the SPCA for five years, taking care of animals
  that have been neglected or abandoned; in addition to her community
  service, she participates in band and FFA, and she is a member of
  the National Honor Society as well as the Spanish Honor Society; and
         WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has demonstrated
  remarkable initiative, compassion, and dedication, and she is a
  source of great pride to her family and community; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Joli Timm on her receipt of a
  President's Volunteer Service Award and extend to her sincere best
  wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Timm as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
