R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Robert Crayford Lee of Houston passed away on
  February 12, 2015, at the age of 90, leaving behind a wealth of
  happy memories to be cherished by his wide circle of family and
  friends; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Robert and Georgia Lee, Bob Lee was born
  on August 12, 1924, in Austin; he grew up in Wichita Falls and later
  attended school in Corpus Christi before graduating from Waco High
  School; answering his nation's call to duty, Mr. Lee served as a
  member of the U.S. Navy during World War II; he completed his
  military service and returned to the Lone Star State, earning his
  degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1950; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Lee married the former Ann Edwards, and the
  couple shared 64 rewarding years together; he was the devoted
  father of five sons, James, Michael, Robert, Richard, and Donald,
  and he later knew the joy of welcoming four granddaughters and two
  great-grandchildren into his cherished family; and
         WHEREAS, Devoted to his country, this esteemed Texan was a
  lifelong Republican, and he served as the cofounder of Republicans
  Against Marijuana Prohibition; in all his endeavors, Mr. Lee found
  great strength and inspiration in his Christian faith; and
         WHEREAS, Kind and unpretentious, with a wonderful sense of
  humor and a gift for storytelling, Bob Lee will forever hold a
  special place in the hearts of all who had the good fortune to know
  him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Robert Crayford Lee
  and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his
  wife of 64 years, Ann Edwards Lee; to his sons, James, Michael,
  Robert, and Richard Lee, and Donald Lee and his wife, Susan; to his
  four granddaughters and his two great-grandchildren; to his sister,
  Georgiabeth Mercier; to his brother, James Lee; and to his other
  relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Robert
  Crayford Lee.
