R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Darren Turley of Dublin, executive director of the
  Texas Association of Dairymen, has greatly benefited dairy farmers
  across the Lone Star State through his lifelong involvement in the
  industry; and
         WHEREAS, A second-generation dairyman, Darren Turley grew up
  on his family's farm in Dublin; he became a leader early on, serving
  as a member of the Texas Farm Bureau Young Farmer and Rancher
  Committee and as chair of young farmer programs for the National
  Milk Producers Federation, Dairy Farmers of America, and Associated
  Milk Producers, Inc.; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Turley later joined the Texas Association of
  Dairymen, which has advocated in behalf of dairy farmers since
  1991; he helped guide the organization for more than a year as
  assistant director before he was named its executive director in
  December 2010; in addition to his work with that group, he is an
  executive committee member and the legislative committee chair of
  the Texas Agricultural Cooperative Council as well as the chair of
  the Texas Agriculture Council; and
         WHEREAS, With a bachelor's degree in business administration
  from Tarleton State University, this esteemed Texan brings to his
  many roles a wealth of knowledge and experience; he participated in
  Class XII of the Texas Agricultural Lifetime Leadership Program
  through the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, and he graduated
  from the AgLead Program of the Texas Farm Bureau, an organization
  that has recognized him with its Excellence in Agriculture Award;
  and
         WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Darren Turley has
  exemplified the highest ideals of his profession, and he may indeed
  reflect with great pride on his notable record of achievement; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Darren Turley for his longtime service
  to the dairy industry and extend to him sincere best wishes for the
  future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Turley as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
