R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, A select group of competitors from the boys' high
  school basketball teams in Polk County were honored for their
  exceptional play during the 2014-2015 season by being included in
  the 29-1A All-District awards selections; and
         WHEREAS, Demonstrating commendable skill on the court, Polk
  County players received three of the five superlative awards;
  JaMarcus Fisher, a freshman at Goodrich High School, was named
  Newcomer of the Year, while Ezavier Bacon, a junior on the Leggett
  High School basketball team, was named Co-Offensive Player of the
  Year; in addition, Leggett High senior Leslie Koroma received the
  Defensive Player of the Year honor; and
         WHEREAS, In recognition of their outstanding performances,
  Sillah Koroma, a sophomore at Leggett, and Javarius Nickelberry, a
  freshman at Goodrich, were named to the All-District First Team;
  Leggett sophomore Kevin Washington and Goodrich teammates Jordan
  Landers, a junior, and Zyan Henderson, a freshman, were part of the
  All-District Second Team; and
         WHEREAS, The All-District awards provide fitting
  acknowledgement of the talent, hard work, and commitment to
  excellence demonstrated by these exemplary student-athletes, and
  they may take justifiable pride in their achievements; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the All-District basketball
  players from Polk County and extend to them best wishes for
  continued success in all their endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the players as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
