R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Heart of Texas RSVP of McLennan Community |
|
|
College received a Community Leadership Award presented by OneStar |
|
|
Foundation at the 31st annual Governor's Volunteer Awards ceremony |
|
|
on September 17, 2014; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Selected for this prestigious accolade in |
|
|
recognition of its dedicated efforts in behalf of area residents, |
|
|
the Heart of Texas RSVP gives invaluable support to more than 75 |
|
|
nonprofit organizations, schools, and nursing homes throughout |
|
|
Central Texas; in addition, the program supplies free health |
|
|
screenings to over 5,000 individuals each year through its annual |
|
|
health fair; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This notable organization is helping to strengthen |
|
|
the local community, and it is indeed a pleasure to join in honoring |
|
|
the significant contributions it has made to the greater good; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the Heart of Texas RSVP of McLennan |
|
|
Community College on its receipt of a Community Leadership Award |
|
|
from the OneStar Foundation and extend to all those associated with |
|
|
the program sincere appreciation for their important work; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the organization as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
