R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Texans depend on the skill and dedication of our |
|
|
state's law enforcement professionals, who play an indispensable |
|
|
role in ensuring the security and welfare of the residents of their |
|
|
communities; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, One early morning in March 2015, 81-year-old Don |
|
|
McNeely experienced car trouble and became stranded on Lake Shore |
|
|
Drive in Waco; Officer Kurt Morsbach of the Waco Police Department |
|
|
came to his aid and, with the assistance of Officer Charles Herren, |
|
|
helped to move the car to safety; to ensure the well-being of |
|
|
Mr. McNeely, Officer Morsbach stayed on the scene with him until a |
|
|
tow truck arrived; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Upholding their oaths to protect and serve, Officers |
|
|
Kurt Morsbach and Charles Herren exemplify the highest ideals of |
|
|
their profession, and their efforts have earned them the |
|
|
appreciation of a grateful citizenry; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Officer Kurt Morsbach and Officer |
|
|
Charles Herren of the Waco Police Department for assisting a |
|
|
motorist in need and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success with their important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Officer Morsbach and Officer Herren as an expression |
|
|
of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
