R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Morris McRae of Miller High School in Corpus Christi
  received fitting recognition when he was named 2015 Secondary
  Teacher of the Year by the Corpus Christi Independent School
  District; and
         WHEREAS, A U.S. and world history teacher at Miller High
  School since 2009, Mr. McRae is also an advanced placement
  instructor in the same subjects; his project-based approach to
  teaching has made his classes popular with students and won him an
  earlier accolade, when he was named Teacher of the Year for the
  2010-2011 school year; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. McRae holds a bachelor's degree summa cum laude
  in history, and he earned a master's degree in educational and
  instructional technology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi
  in 2014; he also brings to his classes his 21 years of prior
  experience in the business world as an account executive at
  Motorola Codex; and
         WHEREAS, Morris McRae exemplifies the passion,
  determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our
  best teachers, and he is inspiring in his students a love of
  learning that will serve them well throughout their lives; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Morris McRae on being named
  Secondary Teacher of the Year by the Corpus Christi Independent
  School District and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
  success and happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. McRae as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
