R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, During the 84th Texas Legislature, Michelle Brucato |
|
has ably served her fellow Texans in the office of State |
|
Representative Jason Isaac through the Clements Legislative Study |
|
Program; and |
|
WHEREAS, Sponsored by the Texas Conservative Coalition |
|
Research Institute, the Clements Legislative Study Program |
|
provides a unique opportunity for young scholars to serve as |
|
full-time interns for state senators and representatives in the |
|
Texas Legislature; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Brucato is a student at The University of Texas |
|
at Austin, where she studies government in the school's College of |
|
Liberal Arts; she has benefited her college community as a mentor |
|
within UT's Gateway Scholars program, and she is a valued and active |
|
member of Alpha Chi Omega; moreover, she also gives freely of her |
|
time as a volunteer at SafePlace, a shelter for people affected by |
|
sexual and domestic violence; and |
|
WHEREAS, This impressive young woman has performed her duties |
|
as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she has |
|
gained valuable work experience in the field of public service |
|
while learning more about the legislative process and the issues |
|
facing the citizens of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Michelle Brucato for her service in the |
|
office of State Representative Jason Isaac as a participant in the |
|
Clements Legislative Study Program and extend to her sincere best |
|
wishes for continued success in all her future endeavors; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Brucato as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
